Youth program waiver of liability

By submitting any enrolment for your child to attend any of our Youth Programs, you agree to the following:
LEGAL GUARDIAN
You declare that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child(ren) that you are enrolling, and that, by law, you are permitted to give such permission for the child(ren) involved, to attend the classes of Nature and Photo’s Youth Programs.
FURTHERMORE YOU AND YOUR CHILD AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:
That participation in the Youth Program activities is voluntary.
You understand that our Youth Program activities do carry a certain amount of risk, as well as exposure to potentially dangerous wildlife, snakes, insects and plants.
While the Nature and Photo team takes reasonable precautions against foreseeable risks, both the nature of the Youth Program activities and accidents make it impossible to ensure the complete safety of participating students. Some examples of risks are: heat exhaustion; hiking accidents, activity centre accidents and accidents while in transit to, from and during visits to different activity areas.
Agreeing to this waiver of liability, means that you understand and accept the risks involved.
You hereby appoint and authorise the Nature and Photo staff in charge to act in your place as parent/guardian with full authority to consent to your child undergoing surgical and/or medical treatment.
You undertake to pay the costs of such treatment.
You fully understand and accept that all activities are undertaken at your child's own risk. You are aware that neither Nature and Photo, it's parent company, Storyteller Productions (PTY) LTD, management, agents, employees, volunteers or any person associated with Nature and Photo accept responsibility for any loss, injury or damage that person or property may sustain whilst engaged in any Youth Program activity. Including transportation to and from any emergency medical facility.
You hereby waive any right that you or your child may have to claim compensation against Nature and Photo, it's parent company, Storyteller Productions (PTY) LTD, management, agents, employees, volunteers or any person associated with Nature and Photo, in respect of any loss, injury or damage incurred whilst engaged in any Youth Program activity howsoever arising and whether as a result of negligence or otherwise and you indemnify Nature and Photo against all such claims.
You agree and authorise that photos, statements, audio – visual recordings, video and sound bites taken, recorded and collected from your child during activities at the Youth Programs may be used free of charge and at the discretion of Nature and Photo as part of their marketing, communication and fundraising campaigns.
You are aware that:
● Your son/daughter may be in a mixed gender group.
● Nature and Photo's Youth Program activities may be accompanied by an adult educator of either gender.
● A single gender activity may be accompanied by an adult educator of the opposite gender.
By enrolling your child(ren) to Nature and Photo’s Youth Program activities, you declare that you understand and agree to the conditions as set out above, and give your child(ren) full permission to participate.
